here's a little peek into our weekend
Usually Dane makes Saturday breakfast (it's sort of a tradition) but I wanted to show off my new bacon baking skills, and then Dane informed me that his Grammy already cooks bacon like this so I felt like a rookie and realized Grammy probably has way more secrets than pinterest.
However, throughly enjoyed my awesome breakfast -- and definitely indulged in way too much bacon. It was totally worth it until Dane told me that some poor little piggies had to die for our breakfast. He then continued on about a video (which you can watch here but I don't suggest it if you ever want to eat meat again) he once stumbled upon on youtube. I then had to go watch it and could barely keep my breakfast down. Thanks to him I pretty much gagged on my grocery trip everytime I looked in the meat asile. Vegetarian anyone? Dane and his 2 cents seem to ruin a lot of things...
Apparently though, I easily forgot about it to later indulge in some hibatchi steakhouse (yum) where my poor little guy slipped in the booth and knocked into the window sill, cutting open his eye. Can we say "mommy heartattack"? Yes, we can.
Luckily he took it like a champ and we were able to do ALL our shopping at Walmart. I keep refusing to go back but somehow end up there. It's ridiculous, I hate the place and everyone and their freakin' mom was there yesterday...There was also a scary ghetto girl there to shop and I totally "stole" her parking space (she had her kid standing in it with a short sleeved shirt on) Hi, this is Walmart, they don't take reservations so maybe you should walk like the rest of us and you wouldn't weigh 800lbs. Again, I'm not going back...
After sleeping in until 10am! We all wokeup and mommy made blueberry muffins (from scratch! haha kidding...)
Slade was exceptionally excited, and he ate two whole muffins-- he is a muffin head. At one point he had trouble swallowing because he put too much in his mouth. They must have been good! He would eat them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if I let him. Seriously...he loves them. Also note: his eye...poor baby!
After breakfast we headed out to puddle around, mostly to clean out my car. I never understood how
Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend. I know I did, it's always way too short! I am looking forward to this week though, Valentines day!!! I can't wait to surprise Dane next saturday with our dual gift (he better be ordering me an edible arrangment and tickets to see the vow as we speak...) PLUS: Dane gets Friday off and I'll be posting a very special blog post sometime that day :)

CANT WAIT FOR THAT POST ;)
