That's right! Slade, my little baby is going to be a BIG BROTHER on or around Sept. 20, 2012.
(six days before my 22nd birthday!)
We found out on 1/11/11 (yeah, that's right! Slade's FIRST birthday!) I knew something was up when I almost puked eating vegetable soup. My bathroom counter looked something like this...
Even after all of the testing, Dane still wasn't convinced. So I scheduled a doctor appointment for February which was later cancelled to my disappointment. (what Dr. office only has one ultrasound tech?) Anyways, I panicked because he took off work AND of course the anticipation had built up so much I could barely sleep! So after some major research I found a place that offered to do it (for FREE, bonus!) and off we went to our very first ultrasound for our second baby.
This is what we saw!
Little tiny thing. Which is why this is BIG (little) news. Only 7 weeks 5 days here, but had a strong heartbeat and healthy brain development and we were beyond excited! We finally shared the news with our family but still weren't ready to inform the rest of the world yet.
but then today...
We had our real OBGYN appointment. It was so weird to be back at the place I visited so many times during my pregnancy with Slade. Only 13 months have gone by since my last visit. I didn't think we would be stepping foot in that place for another few years but I guess I was wrong!
After much anticipation and waiting in the waiting room with a fussy 1 year old, we finally laid eyes (again) on our second baby. It was moving all around, heart still beating thank the Lord.
9 weeks 1 day
As you can see, my new resident has really grown in just two weeks time. It's still early on, I have three weeks left in my first trimester but since everything has been going okay so far (and pretty much everyone knows already!) I wanted to share the news. I'm terrible at keeping secrets anyway!
We are very excited, nervous & just plain blessed.
Feels so weird to say we're going to be a family of four soon.
I am over the moon!
