DIY Shower invites!

As most of you may or may not know, my friend Nadia is having a baby due Jan. 21, 2012. She lives two hours away from me and all of our friends which is sad! Since most of us won't be able to make it to her shower, I am throwing her a small one at my house (roughly 6 or 7 of us.) So on Monday while out running errands with Dane I stopped by AC Moore and picked up supplies. I sort of copied my sisters idea for my baby shower invite (which she and her bestie made for me, thanks guys!!) because she's just so darn creative!

Somehow, I had to make it slightly different...which is where my creativity kicked in. I used more stamps (even for the letters) and made a border instead of a ribbon. The length and height of the card is different, and so is the color scheme. Even though I told her it was (surprise!) this isn't the finished finished product. I am kind of a perfectionist which is really tiring, but I want it to look REALLY good so I can make copies and send them out by next Monday. I think I like just his name in stamped lettering and maybe I can figure out a way to print in cool font the rest of the words? I have a lot of thinking to do! So help me out guys and leave a comment below! Let me know what I can do to improve it. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Also, as I was logging on to the computer today my SS instructor posted a link to this website. It had some really good insight (I read each day) and I plan on reading everyday now!
